Waypoint Development
Innovative Living Spaces
Capitalizing on the synergies between Edward Champy
and Kieran. McAllen, Waypoint Development seeks to build high quality
homes with an emphasis on originality and community. Building strong
relationships is the cornerstone of Waypoint Development’s methods.
By offering a one-year builder’s warranty on all of its work
Waypoint Development demonstrates its commitment to the customer.
Waypoint Development draws, not only on the experience and energies
of the managing partners, but also on its well-trained staff. Waypoint
Development has a full-time customer service department as well
as a versatile and mobile construction crew, not only for working
on new projects but also for supporting past projects.
It is Waypoint Development’s goal to continue building distinct
living spaces in and around Boston. By offering highly competitive
pricing with even more competitive quality and finish, Waypoint Development
hopes to continue to grow while still offering the same quality,
innovation and service that differentiate us from other
builders.
Edward P. Champy
Finance & Development
Having a major in Electrical
Engineering and a minor in Economics from University of Massachusetts,
Edward Champy is at the forefront of Waypoint Development’s finance
division. Edward Champy brings with him extensive business experience
including being one of a trio of engineers that started Spike Broadband
in 1995 which, at its peak, had 250 employees and a valuation of
$320 million.
Now focused on what used to be a hobby, Edward Champy has successfully
translated his engineering and business skills into development.
Though Edward Champy is an experienced builder, at Waypoint Development
his focus is primarily on financing projects and the planning and
permitting process. Edward Champy does get involved on the structural
side of the construction because of his strong engineering background.
Kieran F. McAllen
Construction
Kieran McAllen, an Irish-born carpenter, brings to Waypoint
Development his extensive and well reputed construction experience
and talent. Kieran McAllen first came to the U.S. in 1993 and since
then built a carpentry company that, prior to the formation of Waypoint
Development had as many as 20 framing and finish carpenters. Kieran
McAllen simplified his carpentry company in order to focus full
time on managing Waypoint Development’s construction projects.
With 15 years of construction experience, Kieran McAllen runs his jobsites
with enviable efficiency and careful attention to detail. Kieran McAllen
is now practically a Boston native and is firmly committed to quality
building.
